Joyce thought for a long time before finally burying Tristan’s ashes next to Abby.
“Abby, I hope you won’t blame me for buring Tristan next to you.”

Joyce set down a bouquet of pink and white roses down next to the tombstones. One on each side.
“It’s getting cold, let’s go back,” Peter said softly while standing next to her with an umbrella.
“I thought… Tristan would be able to take care of himself.”
Peter’s eyes darkened, “The memories were too heavy, he couldn’t let go.”
“Why did he do it in the first place then?”
Peter lowered his head, “Because he couldn’t see clearly.”
Joyce adjusted her clothes and turned to leave.
“Let me take you back to the bakery.”
Joyce pointed to the figure standing under the tree and said, “No need, my husband is waiting for me. You should go back too, it’s cold.”

Peter paused, he looked over and saw a man was standing there.
He smiled bitterly to himself. Who was he to judge Tristan? He made the same mistake.
“Goodbye Joyce…” Peter said.
But Joyce was long gone.
The memories were so heavy, who could bear to let go?
It’s all too blurry, so it’s best to not see.
