Chapter 16
“Grandma! Bambi hit me again!” Beau yelled.
He started sobbing, while Bambi stood with her hands clenched into tight fists at her sides.
Born with incredible strength, Bambi had unintentionally hurt Beau a few times when they were younger as she was unable to control her power. Since then, Ethel had always been on high alert around Bambi, constantly watching over her.
Beau knew he could count on his grandmother to take his sile, and played his part well. Ethel stormed forward with a sour expression, reaching out to rip the star off Bambi’s chest.
“Bambi Fisher, hitting someone at school means you’re unworthy of a star! I’ll ensure the teachers revoke your eligibility for awards for the entire school year!”
Beau, who was still clinging to Ethel’s legs, pretended to cry as he buried his face in his hands. He was sneaking a glance at Bambi through his fingers.
Meanwhile, Bambi stood rooted to the spot, and her vision grew blurry.
Tears welled up in her eyes. She didn’t want to cry, but she couldn’t stop them no matter how hard she tried.
The tower she had built with Elara was now irreparably deformed. Her nose stung as if she were standing amidst a pile of rubble, lost and unsure of what to do.
Suddenly, a slender figure stepped forward, shielding her. I was Elara.
“Madam Foster, Beau destroyed the Celestial Crane Tower first, and that’s why Bambi pushed him.”
Ethel pointed at Niamh, who was still sitting on the ground struggling to get up.
“Your daughter didn’t just push her own brother; she even kicked someone else to the ground!”
Although Ethel didn’t particularly like Niamh, she seized the opportunity to use Niamh’s injury as leverage to chastise Elara.
Niamh, on the other hand, was playing her own game. She wanted Harvey’s sympathy but didn’t want to appear.
weak.
She just got floored by a five–year–old girl. If her group of friends found out, her reputation would be in tatters.
Elara spoke firmly, “The surveillance cameras captured it all. Niamh deliberately tried to step on Bambi’s project. Everyone also heard about the wager between Bambi and Nimh: if Bambi took first place, Niamh would apologize,”
Raising her voice, Elara demanded, “Niamh, where’s your apology?”
Niamh clutched her calf and replied stubbornly, “Bambi’s the one who should be apologizing to me right now!”
“Elara, enough!” Harvey barked from where he crouched beside Niamh. He lifted his head as his sharp tone cut through the tension.
“Bambi’s behavior reflects your poor parenting!”
Harvey’s verdict was final, and Ethel quickly chimed in, “old you to raise Bambi as a proper young lady, Elara. Just look at what you’ve turned her into!”
Beau let out another whimper, and his falut cries tugged at Ethel’s protective Instincts.

Ethel turned to Bambi with a stern expression. “Bambi, you must apologize to your brother today. If not, I’ll have you expelled! I will not tolerate anyone in this school who poses a threat to the Fisher family’s eldest grandson!”
In the past, Beau’s complaints about Bambi were limited to her accidentally hurting him. Though Ethel always coddled him, she had never witnessed such incidents firsthand.
But today, she saw it with her own eyes: a light shove from Bambi had sent Beau flying like a paper doll.
Ethel felt like she was facing an imminent threat.
Elara, however, remained composed as she said, “Madam Foster, while you may be one of the school’s board members, you have no authority to expel a student. As for what happened just now, I believe the truth is clear to everyone here.”
Elara’s gaze shifted toward the camera in the distance before she continued, “Earlier, Niamh was standing in front of the camera when she was speaking to Bambi. Everything they did and said was recorded for everyone watching online.”
The entire Little Environmental Guardian speech competition was being broadcast live on the city’s children’s channel.
The director was impressed by Bambi’s off–script presentation, so he had instructed the camera crew to keep the lens trained on her. Elara had already confirmed that the footage included Bambi kicking Niamh to the ground.
Ethel was stunned by this, while Niamh’s expression shifted like a kaleidoscope, cycling through disbelief, embarrassment, and frustration.
