Chapter 39
Harvey reprimanded her coldly. “Are you really holding a grudge against a child? Beau’s throat is swelling–his condition is critical.”
“Mr. Fisher, sending a million dollars takes you only three seconds,” Elara replied.
A sharp breath escaped Harvey’s nose. He hated being manipulated like this.
“Elara Jones! You’re heartless! You don’t deserve to be a mother!”
Even as he spoke, he transferred one million to Elara.
The moment she received the notification, she relayed Beau’s allergy history to the doctor over the phone.
“Harvey.” Elara’s voice came through the speaker.
The man scoffed. “What? Got the money and had a change of heart?”
“Forget it. I was going to remind you about something, but don’t think it’s necessary anymore.” She hung up immediately.
She had wanted to tell Harvey about Beau’s habit of needing his own pillow, bedsheet, blanket, and pajamas if he had to stay overnight at the hospital.
In the past, she always prepared those things herself whenever she took Beau to the hospital. The household staff never paid attention to such details.
She figured Harvey had no idea. But she couldn’t be bothered to say another word. He should deal with Beau’s tantrums himself.
After receiving treatment, Beau’s condition stabilized quickly.
He tossed and turned in the VIP hospital room late at night, unable to sleep.
He started crying, insisting on going home. Exhausted from the commotion, Harvey had no choice but to take him
back.
A black Maybach pulled up in front of the Azure Shores villa. Harvey gazed at the house through the window, the moonlight casting a soft glow over his chiseled features.
He had spent the entire day investigating Beau’s diet–Niamh had given him an excessive amount of dairy.
If Elara had been the one taking care of Beau, this never would have happened. But that woman insisted on playing hard to get, waiting for him to bring her back.
Harvey’s gaze darkened as he stared at the luxurious Azure Shores villa. Right now, Elara was still enjoying everything he had given her.
She needed to understand that without the protection of the Fisher family, she and Bambi wouldn’t be able to survive on their own.
Handling Elara was no different from training a dog–only when she experienced hunger and hardship would she truly submit.
Only then would she finally realize who was the one providing her food, clothing, and a warm home!
The ALI Math Competition finally began.
The competition was held online, allowing participants to choose when to start. However, once they began, they

couldn’t leave the camera for extended periods.
After dropping Bambi off at kindergarten, Elara returned to Azure Shores. She turned on her laptop, entered her exam ID, and began answering questions.
Two hours in, the power suddenly went out. Her screen displayed a Wi–Fi connection failed message.
Elara quickly grabbed her phone, intending to switch to a mobile hotspot–only to realize she had no signal either.
How could this be happening? She couldn’t continue the exam!
Without hesitation, she grabbed her laptop and rushed outside. The entire Azure Shores community was without
power.
She quickly looked for Frank.
“The power company didn’t announce any maintenance today. What caused the outage?”
“I’m not sure.”
Elara took a deep breath. “When will the electricity be restored?”
“I’m not sure.
Frank gave her a complicated look. “Ms. Jones, the entire Azure Shores community was developed by the Fisher family. Have you considered that you might be the reason the residents are experiencing this inconvenience?”
Elara’s eyes widened.
So, the blackout was Harvey’s doing!
