As soon as she said it, Nydia regretted it.
She and Eddie weren’t that familiar. Calling him like that felt too intimate, maybe even too bold. She quickly waved her hand.
“Uh, I was just joking. I’m more used to calling you Mr. Houle.” She smiled awkwardly.
Eddie clearly wasn’t satisfied with her response. After a moment of thought, he spoke again. You can call me by my name.”
Now, Nydia was truly shocked. She wasn’t sure if he was serious. “Eddie?”
Eddie nodded. “Yes.”
She blinked, still unsure if this was real or just some kind of illusion.
“Uh, I… I…” She ran her fingers through her hair.
It wasn’t a big deal, she told herself. It was just a name, so there was no need to overthink it.
“Nydia,” Eddie said suddenly, his tone calm, as though addressing a long–time friend.
Her heart skipped a beat.
“Huh?”
Seeing her stunned expression, Eddie seemed to recall something and smiled slightly. Brigham will be back in a few days. He’ll need you for a follow–up checkup.”
“Oh, okay…” Nydia finally snapped out of it. “When he arrives, he can just come to the hospital to find me.”
She still seemed a bit flustered as she spoke, her cheeks blushing. She looked… cute.
Eddie swallowed as if he were about to say something but was interrupted. Norman came running out, holding Bella. “Ms. Vega, hurry up! The bathwater’s all ready.”
Nydia quickly ran over, scooping Bella into her arms. “I’ll give it a bath.”
“I’ll help squeeze out the body wash.” Norman cheerfully followed her.
Nydia gently rubbed Bella’s fluffy head. “Alright, let’s work together.”
Norman was so happy, he nearly twirled on the spot. It was his first time collaborating with Nydia. He was determined to do his best.
Mick was hospitalized after being beaten up. Mona quickly received the news and rushed to the hospital to be with him.

Ted had almost recovered and was about to be discharged, but because of the recent incident, no one had come to handle his discharge procedures.
He had to argue with the nurse, but as they weren’t his legal guardians, they couldn’t take action and could only keep calming him down. In the past, Ted had Nydia to keep him in check, so he didn’t dare to act out.
But now, with no one around, he had become a little troublemaker. He shoved the nurse aside. and ran straight toward the door.
He knew his bodyguards were nearby, so he wasn’t worried about getting lost. Unfortunately, he hadn’t run far when the bodyguards caught him and brought him back.
Ted, unwilling to accept it, started to cry and throw a tantrum.
The bodyguards could only tell the truth. “Mr. Mick is injured and undergoing treatment. Mr. Ted, please stop causing trouble. Mr. Wilcher can’t come to help you with your discharge right
now.“!
Ted froze for a moment. It seemed as though the tears on his face had completely stopped falling. “My dad is sick?”
