Angeline paused.
I continued and said, “If you really piss me off, I don’t mind sending you to jail to live out your remaining years.
“If I were you, I would pray to the heavens and beg for mercy every day. Keep your foxy little tail between your legs and start being a better person. If you really don’t know how to be a good person, just be an animal. Don’t mess with me!”
Angeline lost it and screamed, “Ahh! Daphne Swan, I’m going to get you!”
Before Angeline could finish scolding me, I continued, “Back then, you threatened me by strangling Everett, and you even pretended to have uremia to blame my family. Are you sure you want me to settle old scores?”
The phone hung up before I could finish. I knew for sure that Angeline was scared.
I laughed.
As I looked up at Lily, she smiled and gave me a thumbs–up. “Babes, that was awesome.‘
I blew my hair from my forehead and said, “Yeah, it was.”
Not only did I block every single member of the Delmont family, but I ended the trip early, paid a visit to Angeline’s home, picked up what I wanted, and went straight to Rowan’s
company.
Rowan grew angry when he saw me. Just as he was about to get nasty with me, I threw the divorce agreement at him.
“There’s no time like the present. Get the papers signed today.”
Rowan looked at the divorce agreement and smiled. “I won’t sign them. What can you do to me?”
It was true I could not do anything to him. Hence, I took out the speaker I had prepared from my bag and turned on the microphone to broadcast my words to the entire company.
“Rowan privately took back $50,000 last month and secretly cursed out a manager called Mr. Rockmore for being useless. He also complained that he couldn’t see the 20–year–old intern because of Manager Drake’s unspoken company rules…”
Rowan’s eyes widened before I could finish speaking, and he rushed over to cover my mouth.
If he wanted to keep his job for a long time, he had to get the situation under control. The situation in question was me.
“You’re crazy!” Rowan covered my mouth and cursed, “What good will it do to you if you kill me?!”
