I turned around and walked back as Rowan tried to chase me. “Daphne!”
However, he never caught up with me because I asked Lily to call the police. I submitted evidence that Rowan had made false accounts and accepted bribes over the years, as well as evidence that Angeline had framed me back then and also illegally raised funds in the countryside.
The police took Angeline and Rowan away.
Everett was the only one left behind after the whole farce. He still did not understand how everything unfolded this way.
His father and grandmother had been taken away.
Later on, I heard that Rowan was sentenced to prison, and even Angeline was sentenced to several years. Everett came to me several times, but I ignored him.
