Chapter 10 Needing Her to Have a Child
Eliana stopped halfway through her sentence.
“No, the baby is her last bargaining chip. What if Samuel refuses to acknowledge it, or worse, even asked her to get rid of
it?‘
“No way she could be sure Samuel would accept this child.”
“There might have been a chance before, but now with Chloe, it might be even less likely.”
She suppressed her emotions, her heart feeling as if pierced by countless arrows. She tried to stay strong, glaring at him.
Samuel frowned and asked, “What?”
Eliana changed her tone, her voice becoming hoarse as she asked, “So what do you owe her? Why do you have to marry her? Were you two deeply in love before?”
“It has nothing to do with love,” he said.
Samuel changed the subject. “It’s getting late, let’s go back to bed.”
‘Nothing to do with love?”
‘So he and Chloe are never in love?”
“If they are never in love, what could he owe her?‘
Samuel was so powerful, Eliana couldn’t imagine what could possibly bind him.
But seeing that woman stay in their home made Eliana feel sick to the stomach.
She looked at Samuel and asked, “You just promised me we wouldn’t divorce, so is this how you’re dealing with her? let her stay, where does that leave me?”
Regardless of who Chloe was or whether he would marry her, Eliana couldn’t bear to have Chloe in the house.
Samuel looked at his wife in front of him, still feeling helpless.
He sat down next to her and said in a deep voice, “Isn’t it too late today? I’ll have her leave tomorrow.”
You
“Then you’re not allowed to contact her again in the future.” She tried hard to ignore the divorce agreement and repeated. “You promised we wouldn’t divorce.”
Eliana tried to believe him, thinking as long as Samuel kept his distance from that woman in the future, she wouldn’t make any unreasonable demands.
For a moment, Samuel didn’t know how to handle her, so he casually responded, “I know. I’ll clear things up with her tomorrow.”
Eliana breathed a sigh of relief and leaned into his arms, still feeling wounded.
She thought, ‘I know Samuel has given me more than enough, I shouldn’t be greedy, but I just want a complete family. I just
want-
“I just want to give our baby a proper home.”
Samuel raised his hand to hold her, watching her look so despondent. How could his heart not ache?
After a moment of silence, he picked up her petite frame and carried her upstairs. “Alright, don’t overthink things. Let’s go back to bed.”
Eliana wrapped her arms around his neck, and nestling into his shoulder, coyly said, “Okay.”
The next day.
Samuel woke up very early.
So did Chloe.

Chloe hadn’t expected Samuel to be trying to send her away. She looked at him abruptly, toast midway to her mouth.
“No way
She said nothing for a while and continued to eat. She looked carefully at the handsome man across from her and said, apologetically, “Sam, do you feel I’m disturbing you two?”
“Not exactly,” Samuel said, “I just feel it’s not quite appropriate.”
“What’s inappropriate about it? You can just give her a couple of kids. I don’t mind if you don’t get emotionally involved.”
Hearing this, Samuels expression suddenly darkened.
He looked at Chloe, his voice as cold as ice. “Chloe, any woman giving birth is a blessing. Eliana, she is very dear to me
Seeing Samuel suddenly get angry, Chloe had a bad feeling.
Hearing what he said, she felt even more surprised, and despondent.
“Could it be that he has fallen in love with the little tramp?”
“No.”
‘Eliana has nothing. What could Samuel love about her?”
Their marriage is just a fake one to appease the elders in the family.”
“Plus, since she can’t bear children, Samuel needs Eliana to continue the Nelson family line.”
So how could Samuel possibly love her?”
“Sam-”
“Enough” Samuel interrupted Chloe, insisting, “It’s settled. I’ll marry you as promised in two years, but now you-”
“What if I don’t agree?” Chloe’s attitude also became firm as she stared at the man across from her. “I want to live with you now. We’ve been apart for too long. I don’t want to be separated from you again. Even if you need a woman to bear your children, just do it. I don’t care.”
