Chapter 17 He Embraced Another Woman
Samuel didn’t notice Eliana as he carried Chloe back into the hospital building
But Eliana certainly noticed them, her heart aching, and her skin crawling as if a thousand ants
‘So Samuel would hold other women like that too!
“So he lied to her,”
‘Chloe is beautiful for her age. Now Eliana knows Samuel probably likes Chloe too.”
s were surging across it.
‘Otherwise, how could such a high and mighty man with immense power be easily forced to marry someone over anything else?‘
‘Her husband no longer belongs to her alone.”
She didn’t have the courage to take another step forward..
She was afraid that if she went to the hospital room, she’d see another scene that would make her world fall apart.
Tuming around, Eliana left the hospital with red–rimmed eyes, completely lost.
After carrying Chloe back to the room, Samuel called a doctor to examine her while he stood for a moment with his phone.
He hadn’t contacted Eliana for two days now, and he missed her.
Just as he was about to leave the room with his phone, Chloe suddenly called out to him emotionally.
“Sam, don’t leave me. I’m scared Sam, where are you? Can you come stay by my side?”
Samuel had no choice but to put away his phone and walked back to Chloe
For the past couple of days, Eliana forced herself to focus on her studies for the upcoming exams.
If she didn’t think about Samuel and that woman, she wouldn’t feel so sad.
Just then, the dorm door was pushed open. Layla ran in, out of breath, and stood in front of Eliana, excitedly saying, “Eli, someone’s looking for you downstairs.”
Eliana turned to look at Layla and asked, “Who is it?”
“It’s that senior student, Michael. He’s come to see you again.”
Michael Sinclair. The guy known as the most handsome genius in their department, and a graduate student.
Unexpectedly, he had disappeared for two months and now he was back.
Eliana refused without hesitation. “I don’t want to see him.”
“Why not? It’s Michaell He’s the most handsome guy in this university, period. Every girl wants a piece of him. But he only likes you. How come you’re not interested in him at all?”
Eliana said, “I already have someone else in my heart.”
“Huh? You like someone? Who is it?” Layla was surprised.
Eliana looked at her very seriously and said, “When the time comes, or if we don’t break up, I’ll introduce him to you guys. But I really don’t like this Michael.”
If she had known that saving Michael from that incident would make him develop feelings for her, she probably wouldn’t have bothered to send him to the hospital
“Alright then, I’ll go tell him for you. What a shamer
Layla left the dorm. Just as Eliana was about to resume studying, her phone rang.
It was the housekeeper, Nora, calling.
Eliana answered, “Nora, what’s up?”

“Mr. Nelson just called and asked how you’ve been doing lately, Mrs. Nelson.”
Eliana thought about this.
‘If Samuel wants to check on her, why didn’t he call her himself?”
‘Is it inconvenient? Or is he afraid of upsetting Chloe?”
Despite feeling bitter inside, Eliana put on a cheerful voice and said, “Nora, I’m doing great, don’t worry. The break is coming up soon, and I’ll come back to keep you company then.”
“That’s good. Ever since you went back to school, Mr. Nelson hasn’t been coming home. It’s such a waste for an old lady like me to live in this big house alone.”
“It’s okay, I’ll keep you company every day when I’m back.”
After hanging up, Eliana forced herself to focus on her studies again.
Just as she settled down to study properly, her phone rang again.
Thinking it must be Nora who had forgotten to say something, she picked up the phone without checking the caller ID and answered, “Hello Nora, is there anything else?”
“It’s me. Didn’t you check the caller ID?”
The man’s pleasant, and yet magnetic voice immediately perked her up. Just to be sure, she glanced at the caller ID and saw it was indeed Samuel.
Delighted and smiling, but making sure there were no other roommates in the dorm, she called out, “Samuel-
“Have you had lunch yet?” he asked.
“Not yet,” she said.
“Come out then. I’m at the school gate.”
