Samuel’s piercing eyes gazed deeply into hers, and indicating with a nod, he said. “Go to our room.”
Eliana, feeling defiant, retorted, “Samuel, don’t tell me you also-”
“I told you, go to our room,” he repeated, Samuel’s attitude turning colder still.
Eliona felt so wronged, angrily walking upstairs.
Chloe inwardly smirked, but still clung to Samuel, not letting go.
With the same weak voice, she said, “Sam, it’s all my fault. I’m causing you trouble. If I were a normal woman, I wouldn’t=”
“Chloe,” Samuel interrupted, “Enough already. I don’t care whether she pushed you down the stairs or not. I’ve already punished her. This matter is over. Don’t mention it again.”
Chloe suddenly realized Samuel was protecting that wild girl.
Although she felt upset inside, Chloe still pretended to be gracious. “I understand. As long as she doesn’t cause me trouble, I won’t hold it against her.”

The housekeeper had quietly arrived and was standing nearby. Samuel looked at her. “Come over here, Nora, please,” he
said.
Nora hurried over to stand beside Samuel, nodding, “Mr. Nelson, what is it?”
“From now on, you’ll take care of all of Chloe’s meals and daily needs. Can you manage? If not, we can hire two more maids to help you.
Nora quickly replied, “Ms. Howard is a grown woman, she’s easy to care for. It’s no problem, I think I can manage.”
Knowing Samuel didn’t like too many people in the house, Nora naturally refused to find more help.
Samuel waved his hand, dismissing Nora, then turned to Chloe saying. “From now on, call Nora if you need anything. I have to work, I can’t be by your side 24 hours a day.”
Chloe pretended to be understanding. “Sure Sam, I get it.”
“Then sit here and don’t move. If you want to move around, call Nora. I’m going upstairs to change clothes and go to the office.”
Chloe reluctantly nodded, “Okay.”
Samuel went upstairs to the bedroom. He found Eliana lying back on the bed, her legs dangling off the edge, and banging her heals persistently at the bedframe.
Samuel approached the bed and spoke, “Angry again?”
Eliana didn’t lift her head, her legs bouncing a few times, resentfully she replied, “No.”
“That’s good.”
Samuel really didn’t have the patience to comfort one and then the other. He turned and walked into the closet to change clothes.
After a while of not hearing anything, Eliana slowly turned her head, looking for Samuel.
Seeing him in the closet, she slowly got up, leaning against the wall and inching closer, asking in a low voice, “Are you going out?”
“Yes, to the company,” he said.
Samuel paused while tying his tie, looking at Eliana, “Come here.”
Eliana obediently walked over to stand in front of him.
She was really too short, even with shoes on. Standing in front of Samuel, she barely reached his shoulder.

Samuel’s tall stature easily overshadowed Eliana’s petite body.
Yet he deliberately leaned closer to her, gesturing to his necktie. “Here, can you help me tie it?”
Eliana had previously helped Samuel with his necktie. Although, at first she didn’t really know how, and spent hours learning the Double Windsor online.
Now as she tilted her head up, reaching for the tie, her movements were quite skillful.
Samuel gazed down at his girl, beautiful and captivating.
Especially those eyes of hers, wide open and bright as stars, so beautiful they stirred him to want her, take her.
Possibly feeling he was too tall, and she was straining her neck and arms, he considerately bent down, leaning closer to
her.
His closeness caught Eliana off guard.
They were extremely close, almost able to feel each other’s breath.
Eliana knew intimately his charm, his magic. That charm was constantly pulling her closer.
Just like now, tying this knot could go anywhere, she could retreat a bit, but that ambiguity would still linger.
She was however, feeling impatient, and lifted her chin to kiss her man’s cool, soft lips.
