Chapter 29 Drugging Her and Taking Compromising Photos
Seeing that this wild girl wouldn’t budge, and fearing Eliana might actually hit her, Chloe chose to leave first. She couldn’t fight back while pretending to be blind.

looked at it buzzing on the vanity and saw it was her roommate Hannah calling.
She answered, and Hannah said from the other end, “Hey Eliana, are you busy?”
Eliana shook her head, “Not busy, what’s up?”
“It’s my birthday today. Come celebrate with me?” Hannah asked.
Today is Hannah’s birthday? Eliana thought Hannah’s birthday was in October, not this month.
Eliana asked uncertainly, “Are you sure it’s your birthday?”
“Like I’d lie to you. I’ll send you the location. It’ll just be the two of us, come keep me company.”
Thinking she didn’t have many close friends, apart from her three roommates, Eliana agreed, “Okay.”
After hanging up, she picked out her favorite pale green Prada dress, took a quick shower, got her makeup on, and headed out, thinking about a birthday gift to bring Hannah.
She stopped by a bakery and bought a little box of pralines, had them wrapped, and took a taxi to the address Hannah had sent for a karaoke bar.
Paying off the taxi and entering the bar, she found the private room Hannah had described. She reached out to push the door open
Inside the dim room was only Hannah, Seeing Eliana arrives, she quickly went to greet her.
“Eliana, you’re here.”
Eliana nodded, taking out the gift from her bag and handing it to Hannah. “Happy birthday, birthday girl.”
Hannah looked at the gift, hesitating for a moment before accepting it with a bitter smile. “Thanks, Eli, Look, come sit down, I’ve already ordered drinks. It’s just the two of us, so we’re not leaving until we’re drunk.”
Seeing quite a few opened bottles on the table, Eliana said as she sat down, “You know I don’t really drink Hannah.”
In reality, it was because she was pregnant.
Hannah’s expression changed. “Oh, I sec. How about soft drinks then?”
Eliana shook her head again. “I’m also allergic to food coloring. I’ll just have a Perrier or something.”
Saying this, Eliana bent down to pick up a bottle of mineral water from the table. Just as she was about to twist it open, she suddenly noticed the cap was loose.
She hesitated, put the water back, and said, “I’m not thirsty right now.”
Seeing Hannah staring at her, Eliana smiled and asked, “What’s wrong? If it’s just the two of us, why don’t we light the candles?”
Hannah clearly had something on her mind and hurriedly crouched in front of the cake to light the candles.
Eliana noticed Hannah’s hands shaking as she flipped the lighter, making her even more suspicious.
“Hannah, what’s wrong? is something bothering you?”
Hannah avoided a direct answer. “My–my mom is sick and needs money. I’ve been thinking about how to earn money Lately.”
Hearing this, Eliana asked, “How much do you need?”
“A lot About a hundred thousand.”
“I can lend you some. I have about that much I can access. Do you want it?”

Hannah looked at Eliana’s bank card, and her eyes filled with tears.
She lit the candles and quickly stood up. Abruptly she hugged Eliana, and cried next to her ear. “I’m so sorry, Eliana. Actually, someone paid me to lure you out, drug you, and take compromising photos to send to them. I don’t know who they are. I’m sorry, Eliana. I know I was wrong. You need to leave now, someone wants to harm you.”
Eliana was bewildered. She looked around. “What?” she asked. She already knew from Layla earlier, today wasn’t Hannah’s birthday at all.
She knew it was weird but, drugs, photos?
She quickly turned back and asked Hannah, “What about you?”
“I’ll return the money to them. They probably won’t dare to do anything to me. You need to go. Now.”
“But, you know their secret now, Hannah. They won’t let you off. We go together.”
Eliana grabbed Hannah’s hand and was about to run out of the room.
Suddenly, the door was kicked open, and several men wearing black balaclavas burst in.
The leader stopped in front of them. “Damn it, you bitches dare to run? Catch that one and force the drug down her throat!”
