Chapter 5 The Other Woman Shows Up
Though Eliana was only about 5 feet 3 inches tall in shoes, life had taught this tiny person how to give off a street–smart vibe any girl would be wary of.
But hearing the word “homewrecker“, Chloe felt anger rising inside her.
Seeing Eliana wouldn’t get in the car, she simply got out of the car and walked up to her.
At 5 feet 7 inches, plus 2–inch–high heels, Chloe towered over Eliana by a full head.
She looked down at the girl, sneered and with a haughty air said, “You’re quite lucky, you know. An orphan getting Sam’s financial support for school and a marriage. You’re so young too. It’s surprising Sam’s family would even agreed,” she added, “given his status.”
Eliana glared up at the woman in front of her. Chloe was tall, had a good figure, and a pretty face. But the make–up couldn’t hide that the woman wasn’t young anymore.
So Eliana felt her own looks were way more attractive, and her youth made her cute too. She discovered a little nugget of pride in herself.
“Samuel marrying me proves he loves me,” she replied bluntly. “Who are you to come here and question his and his family’s judgment of me?”
If she weren’t pregnant and Samuel loved someone else, she might have just left him. But she was pregnant. For her baby’s sake, she wanted to fight one more time.
She didn’t want her child to be born without a father.
Her child shouldn’t grow up like her–having no parents.
Samuel was her only family. She needed him to be part of their unborn child’s life. Their baby had a right to a family.
Meanwhile, Chloe was furious. She hadn’t expected this girl with no status or background to dare speak to her in such a tone, and with such language.
She stepped right up to Eliana, her eyes fierce, and said, “If I hadn’t left back then, do you really think you’d have any chance to be by Samuel’s side?”
Up this close, Chloe couldn’t deny this girl was very pretty.
A gently pointed chin, a neat little nose, sky–blue eyes, a determined mouth. Yes, a delicate face, surrounded by smooth, dark hair. Definitely cute.
But besides the face–and the trim little figure, of course, she was nothing.
Chloe decided that arguing with this child was beneath her.
Eliana, like a prickly little hedgehog, retorted sharply. “Auntie, the thing is,” she said, “you’ve already left him. You’re his past, and I’m his wife now. Since he’s already married me, you should know better than to come disturb us.
Though Eliana was barely in her early twenties, she exuded a fierce, unyielding spirit.
“You-” Chloe was livid, and she felt her color rise as she glared at Eliana. “Did you just call me auntie?”
Il you?”
Eliana raised an eyebrow and promptly replied, “What else should I call
Chloe was so angry she wanted to hit her, but that would be beneath her status. She suppressed her rage and said bitterly. “You think you’re his wife? Then why don’t you ask him why he married you? Also, even if I left him for ten years, the day I come back, he would still marry me. You’re nothing but a tool to satisfy his sexual needs.”
“What did you say?”
Eliana gritted her teeth in anger, her little fists clenched tight.
Chloe no longer looked at her. “I didn’t come to find you for any other reason. I just wanted to tell you not to think Samuel marrying you means he loves you.”
She stepped back and gave Eliana a mocking smile. “With me around, you’re nothing.”

‘Enough! ‘Eliana thought.
She stepped forward, swung her hand and slapped Chloe hard across the f.
