“What mistress? We’re already husband and wife…”
“I don’t want that.” Eliana angrily cut off his words, shouting hoarsely: “I don’t want to stay by your side like nothing’s wrong after you marry her. Samuel, please let me go, at least give me some dignity, okay?” She used to think that if she just stuck with Samuel, refusing to leave him, he would always be hers. But she was wrong. What could she, Eliana, use to keep this man? Samuel owed Chloe and wanted to make it up to her with marriage. And Samuel had helped her, she owed Samuel, and since Samuel didn’t want her to have children, her only option was to leave so she wouldn’t cause him trouble.

“You silly girl, where would you go without me?” Samuel grabbed her arms, his dark eyes fixed on her. “I won’t let you leave my sight, understand?”
“No, if you’re going to marry someone else, I’m leaving. You can’t be this cruel, knowing I love you, yet making me watch you marry another woman.” She cried again feeling wronged, sobbing as tears poured out uncontrollably.
Samuel hated seeing this woman cry the most. When she cried, his heart felt like it was being squeezed. He said, “I haven’t married her yet, be good, don’t fight with me.” His well–defined fingers cupped her small face, gently wiping the tears on her cheeks. Perhaps because he hadn’t touched her for so long, seeing her cry so pitifully now somehow made him feel
aroused. He bent down to kiss her.
Eliana quickly raised her hands to resist, pushing him away, “Don’t do this, don’t touch me.”
“Be good,” he coaxed softly. He restrained her fidgeting hands and carried her to the bed. Laying her petite body on the bed, he leaned down to continue kissing her.
In the past, Eliana would have enjoyed Samuel’s passion. But now… She felt hopeless, confused, and heartbroken. How could she let him touch her? She wasn’t in the mood either. Seeing him kiss her passionately, Eliana lay there, turning her head away motionless and said dejectedly: “Chloe is right, in your heart, I’m just a tool to satisfy your desires when you
don’t have her.”

“Isn’t it true?” she asked.
Samuel instantly lost interest. He stood up and coldly shouted at Eliana: “Is that how you see me? Eliana, was all the good did for you worth nothing?” Perfect. She had succeeded in making him angry again. Samuel turned his back to her, trembling with anger. Then he said, “Since you understand your position, then just stay put. After you pay back what you owe me for your education all these years, then you can leave.” Then he stormed out, slamming the door.
The sudden noise of the door made Eliana’s body shudder. She lay there, tears blurring her vision, her body limp. So, she couldn’t leave, could she?

Samuel returned to his study, angry enough to throw his keyboard. That stubborn woman, he treated her so well, yet in her eyes, he was just a beast who only wanted to satisfy his desires. For some reason, Samuel felt a painful blockage in his
chest.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Chloe and Nora had returned from the hospital. As soon as they entered, they saw a little girl sitting on the living room sofa. A fair–skinned little girl, as pretty and lively as Eliana, Nora hurried forward to ask, “Little girl, who are you?” Nora was hired as a housekeeper after Samuel and Eliana got married, so naturally she didn’t know Emma
Emma glanced at the tall, well–dressed woman in front of her and asked while sizing her up: “And who are you, may I ask?”
“I’m the housekeeper here, I’m Nora, and this is Ms. Howard, Mr. Nelson’s friend.”
That made Emma frown. Wasn’t this Sam and Eli’s marital home? How could this woman possibly come and go as she pleased? Though slightly confused, Emma quickly thought of a lie: “I’m… Eliana’s sister, my name is Emma.”
“Oh? Mrs. Nelson’s sister?” Nora gushed at the child, she said, “Well, hello! Are you hungry? What do you like? Please sit, I’ll go prepare something for you to eat”
“Um, okay, thank you,” Emma said, watching her walking speedily off to the kitchen.
After watching Nora, Emma looked back at Chloe. Chloe was also studying Emma, questions popping up in her mind. Eliana’s sister? Wasn’t Eliana an orphan? Where did this sister come from? Or maybe she was her sister from the orphanage? What a shameless woman, she could barely take care of herself, yet she brought her sister here.
Chloe sat down next to Emma, asking with the air of a mistress of the house, “Why are you here alone, young lady? Where are your sister and Samuel?”
Emma didn’t hesitate. She smiled, and asked, “What’s your relationship with Samuel, Ms. Howard?”
Chloe surprised at Emma’s question said, “Why, Samuel and I are engaged, and did you know your sister is the other woman?”
Emma’s smile faded, “Did I hear that right? You’re calling Eliana the other woman?”
Chloe looked at the child and said with a tone of resignation, “Yes, I’m afraid your sister stole my man.”
“Samuel is your man?”
Chloe maintained her superior, lady–like attitude, “That’s right.”
Emma was horrified. She cried, “You’re talking nonsense!” Then she lost it and suddenly stood up on the sofa, grabbing a cushion and then frantically hitting Chloe over the head with it while shouting: “I think you’re the other woman! You shameless woman, you dare to act so high and mighty with me, I’ll teach you a lesson today!”
