Jacob’s cold, bewitching voice sounded gentle as he replied, “I’ll take you to the Ford Manor one day. Grandpa would love you.”

Liesel’s eyelashes fluttered.
It was true that in the future, the only one who would get to visit the Ford Manor was Natalie. It would no longer be Liesel.
The secretary department was located in the corner of the office. This was where all of Jacob’s secretaries worked.
When Liesel walked out, she heard their quiet whispers.
“I wonder what kind of connections Natalie used to get Mr. Ford’s protection like that.” “I heard that her grades are just average, and she actually only got admitted to Alden University as an arts major. In the end, the arts major surpassed all of us to become the executive secretary, holding the same role as Mr. Shepard. She’s really daring.” 1

The secretary department staff snickered.
“Liesel is pretty disappointing too. Even with those looks, she failed to win over Mr. Ford. She even let that sheep take his heart,” someone lamented in disappointment.
Liesel’s footsteps halted. She purposely took out her phone and spoke into it loudly.
She was actually giving the secretarles a chance to avoid an awkward situation. She was letting them know that she was going to pass by this area so that they would shut their troublemaking mouths.
All of a sudden, the secretary department fell silent.
“Hello, Ms. Sharp,” they greeted her.
Liesel smiled lightly. Before walking away, she left them with some poignant parting words. “She may not have the chops, but you need to know who has her back. Having finally reached this position, if you get into trouble because of your words, who do you think would have the last laugh?”
That was all she said. It would bring no value to elaborate further.
The secretaries became even quieter.
Liesel was giving them a subtle hint.
“That’s Ms. Liesel for you. If it had been the other one, I bet she would probably be crying in Mr. Ford’s arms right now while asking him to fire us.”
Someone immediately rolled her eyes. “Shut up!‘
Returning to the project department, Liesel held the first internal meeting.
As the meeting reached its peak, the team had just agreed on the next steps toward the collaboration goals when someone suddenly opened the door.
That person had just pushed open the door without any regard for the rules.
The meeting came to a stop.
Everyone’s gazes fell on the person standing at the door.
It turned out to be Mr. Ford’s rumored “new pet.” Natalie, who had used that status to become the executive secretary.
Liesel calmly turned off the projector. Raising her eyebrows nonchalantly, she directed her gaze to the security guard guarding the door.
