Seeing that Liesel looked like she was about to raise her hackles, Elijah was somehow reminded of wild black–footed cats. They were unrestrained but packed a strong punch
“Have a look at this. I wonder if you’d be interested, Ms. Sharp.” Elijah handed a document to Liesel.
After merely taking a glance, Liesel looked up to see Elijah cocking his head at her and signaling her to continue reading.
Liesel looked down again. However, on the inside, she was once again shocked by his innovation.
He was actually thinking of conducting research in the field of holography. This type of research was very expensive.
“Mr. Hardin, if I’m not wrong, an even more skilled team overseas had actually begun researching this six years ago. However, till today, all they have come up with is 3D projection.”
“Don’t you want innovation, Ms. Sharp?” Elijah asked.
“Innovation is one thing, but having self–awareness is another.
“If I may ask, do you have a specialized research team, Mr. Hardin?
“Do you know how to decode holographic algorithms?
“Do you know how to break the 3D code that the team abroad had developed?
“Have you thought about how you’re going to start?”
Liesel threw these sharp questions in Elijah’s face, almost as if she was interrogating him.
Elijah raised an eyebrow. He was holding another document in his other hand while tapping his finger gently against its cover.
He let out a quiet chuckle. “Ms. Sharp, you were able to raise such mature and keen questions just from reading a short document. That’s indicative of your character, Ms. Sharp. As I thought, someone like you would be a great fit for my team.”
Liesel’s gaze remained indifferent. “I won’t pursue crazy ideas with you just because you. gave me a few compliments, Mr. Hardin.
“Before coming to see me, you should first think about what would really happen if you actually manage to develop a holographic world. There is a possibility that joining a holographic game would lead to damage to the center of the cerebrum. It’s also possible that a player might get stuck in the holographic world. They might be unable to log out.

“If you can’t solve these problems, don’t even think about researching holography.”
Liesel tossed the document back at Elijah.
Elijah didn’t seem angry at all. On the contrary, he raised an eyebrow with a nonchalant expression. “Actually, I know a lot about what happens on the inside of the Ford Corporation. Do you really not plan on leaving the Ford Corporation and exploring other opportunities, Ms. Sharp?”
Smiling, he offered an olive branch. “If you decide to join me, I will definitely give you a position in my company that you’ll be satisfied with.”
He really did admire Liesel. Since he was willing to say such things, it meant that he already had an idea of the position he wanted to give her.
Not only was he here to discuss a potential collaboration today, but he was also here to poach talent.
That million–dollar red agate necklace wasn’t a token of his romantic interest, but rather a bribe to win her over.
“I won’t leave the Ford Corporation at this time,” Liesel said straightforwardly. “If I quit right after she joined the company, it would make it look like I’m fleeing instead.”
Elijah wanted to say something when suddenly, he heard a delicate and gentle voice ring out a distance away. “Liesel, did you and Mr. Hardin make an appointment to meet here? Jake and I have been looking everywhere for you.”
