“It’s me.” Ophella looked at Natalle coldly with haughty attitude.
Natalie put down her fork and straightened her back. She smiled kindly, “Fancy meeting you here, Ms. Ford.”
“It wasn’t a colneidence,” Ophelia smiled coldly. “I’m here to talk to you.”
Natalie was surprised. She didn’t say anything, as she didn’t know why Ophelia wanted to talk to her.
“I just wanted to see what kind of woman would follow in her mother’s footsteps and knowingly be a homewrecker by ruining a perfectly good marriage,” Ophelia said scathingly. Her smile had dropped.
Natalie’s smile remained, but she was also staring at Ophelia consideringly.
Ophelia dressed lavishly, which fit her role as the daughter of the Ford family.
From the way she dressed to the way she carried herself, she looked like the emblem of a socialite.
Before Natalie could say anything, Ophelia plowed on. “I want to talk to you so that I can check you out properly. You’re not much, aren’t you? I don’t know what Jacob sees in you. He must be blind.”
Then, before Natalie could react, Ophelia picked up a glass of water and splashed its contents in her face.
She then slammed the empty glass back onto the table. The loud thud attracted the attention of the people around them.
“Shameless homewrecker!” Ophelia said loudly as she looked at her with disdain.
She did this on purpose; everyone’s attention was now on Natalie.
Natalie was drenched. Her hair was messily stuck to her scalp and face.
Soon, whispers began to rise in the crowd. “Oh, a homewrecker. How audacious!”
“She looks innocent. I can’t believe she’s a whore!”
Natalie did not dare to look up. Water dripped from her face, which was so flushed that it almost hurt. Her eyes were also straining with tears.
Something warm slid down her face, joining the cold water. Natalie wasn’t sure if it was tears or just excess water.
Ophelia exited the restaurant and got into the car at the entrance. She told the driver to start driving as she scrolled through the photographs on her phone.

Chapter 26
There were photos of Jacob going home with Natalie, him opening the car door for her, and even one of him caressing her hair on the side of the road.
Impassively, Ophelia deleted the photographs.
Natalie would have to think twice if she thought she was worthy enough to marry Jacob!
Natalie grabbed her bag and ran out of the restaurant hastily.
As she did so, someone stretched out their legs and tripped her.
She was wearing high heels and a dress, so when she fell, her knees made contact with the marble floors. It was so painful that she started trembling.
The people surrounding her laughed. Someone even praised the person who’d tripped her.
Mortified, Natalie got back to her feet. Thankfully, no one tried to trip her again. She managed to get out of the restaurant safely.
Liesel sat in the far corner of the restaurant and saw everything that happened. Her expression was blank. To her, the whole situation was ironic.
Did Natalie deserve her pity?
Maybe, but that didn’t mean that she was innocent.
Natalie was trembling when she made it out of the restaurant. Hate filled her mind.
She hated both Ophelia and Liesel. However, because of Ophelia’s status, she could only double down on her hatred of Liesel.
