Jacob told Drew to park the car. Then, he led Liesel into the food market.
There were plenty of food stalls lining the street in the market. Due to its proximity to Alden University, the stalls were mostly clean and hygienic, and they sold a wide variety of
food.
The street was narrow and crowded.
Jacob was dressed in an expensive suit. Combined with his cold expression and tall stature, he stood out amongst the crowd at the food market.
Liesel stood behind him. She was slender and graceful, and her beautiful face was striking The people around them couldn’t help but stare.
Thankfully, Jacob and Liesel were perceived to be a couple, so no one came up to them to ask for their contact information, which was fine with them.
Meanwhile, Drew was bombarded by young women asking for his number as soon as he parked the car and entered the food market. There were even some men who did the same.
Even though he had seen quite a lot in his life, at that moment, he had the urge to run away.
“What would you like to try first?” Jacob placed a protective arm around Liesel to protect her from the pressing crowd. With his arm wound around her waist, he tucked her neatly into his side.
He did this out of habit. Liesel tensed. She was afraid that he would notice that something
was wrong.
She did not get bumped into at all as they walked. Jacob did not notice anything wrong with
her either.
The smell of his cologne wafted over from his body. His warm chest pressing against her and his warm breath brushing across her forehead made her blush. Her mind went blank.
Without bothering to look around, she pointed randomly at a stall. Jacob brought her over. There were tables and chairs set beside the stall.
Liesel only realized that she had chosen a Mollican stall when they sat down. The stall served spicy burritos and a whole selection of other snacks.
She ordered a non–spicy burrito, as she thought that she shouldn’t be having spicy food right now.
She did not order alcohol as well. Instead, she got some warm milk.
Jacob frowned slightly when she saw her navigate through the Molhican menu easily. However, he did not say anything. He just wiped down the tables and chairs with a napkin.

“You didn’t need to come with me, actually,” Liesel said with a laugh. “How are you going to explain this to Natalie?”
That was a problem.
Jacob paused. Before he could say anything, he got a call from Natalie.
Liesel looked like she’d expected this. She did not seem to want him to accompany her.
Natalie was acting coquettish over the phone. She was telling him about the grievances she had faced that day.
However, Jacob’s mind was still preoccupied by what Liesel had said earlier.
Natalie’s identity did not sit well with him now,
Natalie fambled on over the phone while waiting for Jacob to comfort her.
However, after a moment of silence, all she got was, “Natalie, leave Liesel alone from now
on”
Over at the Sharp residence, Natalie was shocked.
“Leave Ophelia alone as well. She doesn’t like you,” Jacob continued.
What could Natalie say?
All she could do was laugh bitterly and show understanding.
As soon as she ended the call, she threw her phone at the wall.
She was the one who had been bullied and humiliated today!
