After all, I had prepared a big surprise for Tiffany.
In the final version of the plan, I deliberately left out a decimal point in the cost estimates. While it seemed like a small mistake, it could cause the company millions in losses.
Of course, if Tiffany had done as she promised and checked the plan carefully, she’d definitely have found the mistake.
That was my way of giving her a chance to redeem herself.
When I handed her the plan, I didn’t forget to remind her, “Make sure to check it carefully, If there’s anything wrong, feel free to correct it.”
“Don’t worry. Leave it to me!” she replied.
Fiona, standing beside her, rolled her eyes in annoyance. “Tiffany, you better check this carefully. You wouldn’t want ‘someone‘ to tamper with it!”
“I trust Yvonne. She’s not that kind of person,” Tiffany replied confidently with the folder in her hands.
I stared at her smiling face, secretly hoping she would check thoroughly.
However, since I handed the plan to Tiffany, no further developments have occurred. I had no idea whether she had noticed the decimal point error.
I didn’t rush to ask, though. Just in case, I spent every evening at home rethinking and improving the plan.
Before I knew it, the day of the internship conclusion arrived.
Garreth walked into the meeting room, beaming with pride. He cleared his throat as he announced, “Now, I’ll announce the names of those whose internship has passed successfully.”
All the interns passed except me.
I completely snapped.
