As I spoke, I plugged the USB drive into the computer despite Garreth trying to stop me.
He frowned and blocked me with an angry expression. “Yvonne, are you not aware of where we are at? Stop wasting everyone’s time!”
“Let her proceed. I’d like to see just how capable she really is,” Johannes added calmly as he walked over to the conference table and sat down.
In truth, I had completed this proposal with some guidance from my father. Just this morning before leaving the house, I showed it to him one last time, and even he was very impressed. That gave me even more confidence.
As the slides played, the room fell completely silent.
The content was deeply analytical. It was far more advanced than anything Tiffany’s proposal had offered.
“Did you come up with all of this yourself?” Johannes asked, his expression unreadable as he scrutinized me.
Before I could answer, Garreth interjected as he shut off the computer impatiently. “She couldn’t possibly have done this herself. She must have copied it from the internet! Yvonne, how dare you try to pass off plagiarized work here?”
I ignored Garreth and looked earnestly at Johannes. “What do you think of my proposal, sir?”
“The analysis is innovative, and every issue is explained with remarkable depth and clarity. I haven’t seen such a well–crafted proposal in a long time.”
Hearing this, I noticed Garreth and Tiffany’s faces instantly turn pale.
“Mr. Chode, there’s something else…” Garreth leaned in to whisper something in his ear. Whatever it was, Johannes‘ expression changed drastically.
Garreth straightened up, looking smug as he glanced at me and mouthed, “You’re finished.
