How could someone be so shameless to this extent?!
I was so angry I couldn’t help but laugh.
Stephen looked down at Harlan with disdain. “You? Forgive my mom? How dare you say such things? Is it because I’ve treated you well, and now you’re getting cocky?
“Stop daydreaming. I’d never get engaged to scheming people like you. Instead of making ridiculous remarks here, why don’t you go figure out how to save your failing company?”
Harlan’s face turned red with anger. “You’ve been lying to us the whole time? You’ve been playing with Yasmine’s feelings!”
Stephen gave Yasmine a light glance and retorted, “Playing with feelings? Haven’t you all been scheming against me all along? And let’s be clear–you’ve been planning to siphon off my money to cover your company’s debts from the start. Do you really think I’m that gullible?”
Lana focused on the key point. “Wait a minute, you just mentioned saving the group. What does that mean? What have you done to our company?”
I slowly stood up. “He did nothing to your company.”
“Was it you?” Harlan stared at me, his eyes nearly popping out.
“Don’t listen to her! She’s just putting on an act! She’s trying to deceive us…” Lana’s words were cut off by an urgent phone call. “What do you mean there’s something wrong with the goods? Didn’t we double–check everything?”
